This second video demonstrates how to easily regain lost performance by using shortcuts on the desktop instead of actual files or folders. We tend to drop stuff on the desktop because it’s easy; however, each time your computer starts and while it’s running, the desktop is loaded into memory. The bigger these items are, the more resources loading the desktop takes. Using shortcuts saves resources yet keeps files readily accessible:
